Mauna Kea: Weikiu Bug

Mitigation Report on the impacts development is having on the Wekiu bug's habitat.

KAHEA filed a petition to list the unique wekiu bug on the endangered species list.
This rare bug is found only on the summit of the sacred mountain of Mauna Kea and represents the fragile nature of the summit and the need to protect it from further desecration.

KAHEA is an alliance of Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) cultural practitioners, environmental activists and others concerned with protecting customary and traditional rights and our fragile environment.
