The Mission & Purpose

of the Maunalua Bay Heritage Festival is to engage the community in actively learning about and caring for Maunalua Bay and its ten watersheds.

Come enjoy the opening ceremonies, live music and `ono food while learning about and celebrating Maunalua Bay’s biological/cultural heritage.  It is our hope that each person who joins us has a very fun and memorable day. We also hope that each person walks away with a deeper understanding and appreciation for this special place--including what is being done and what can be done to conserve and restore it, before it's too late.

Call for Volunteers

We anticipate this to be a very fun and enriching experience, and need all kinds of volunteers or volunteer groups working together to make this a successful event.

Most volunteers will receive a festival t-shirt to help the festival teams and general public identify one another. Shifts will be organized in no more than 2 hour blocks so that volunteers have the chance to enjoy the festivities and take part in the festival as well.

If you are interested in any of these roles below--or being a leader in any of these areas--please contact me for the details, more information or with any questions. Office: 395-5050 / Cell: 294-3573
